Bridges Restaurant Wedding, Granville Island - Alysha + Neil

Alysha and Neil’s love story is like a movie: they have known each other since elementary school and dated at that time, but had lost touch for years. They ran into each other in the city a few years ago and reconnected, and have been together ever since! Back in the day, they had taken a photo together in elementary school, which they had placed on their signing table next to a recent photo of them. Is that the cutest thing ever or is it the cutest thing ever?

The ceremony took place by the water in Ron Basford Park, and during the vows, we were photo bombed (and sound bombed?) by a Pirate Ship for a kid’s camp passing by on the water. It made for a funny and memorable moment! Afterwards, we headed to Queen Elizabeth Park for some beautiful glowing sunny portraits. Normally, photographers would hide from the sun but the lush trees and gardens gave us the perfect amount of shade coverage to give A+N the best lighting for their photos. Once we wrapped up at QE Park, we headed back to Granville Island for their reception at Bridges Restaurant, which is one of the best venues for a Summer wedding. Their patio gives you an amazing view of the city, and the inside of the restaurant still provides that with their surrounding floor to ceiling windows, letting all the glorious sunlight in. I can’t think of a better place to be on a warm Summer’s day.
