Destination Wedding at Royalton Riviera Cancun, Mexico - Marina + Keegan

Marina and Keegan - highschool sweethearts who have been together for over 12 years - tied the knot with their closest family and friends at a beautiful destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. I feel so fortunate to be included in their wedding and had the privilege of spending 10 days with the entire group getting to know each other while lounging by the beach/pool and eating everything under the sun at Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort. I have never been to an all inclusive resort before, but I have to say my first experience is going to be hard to top! Royalton Riviera Cancun blew me away with it’s beautiful amenities and above and beyond hospitality. They made the stay so memorable, and the wedding experience for M+K the smoothest it could be. Marina and Keegan had a simple and sweet wedding style; they brought all their decor and attire over from Vancouver including her wedding dress from Everything but the Groom Bridal and a gorgeous faux flower arrangements made by Edelweiss Floral Design. With the beach as your backdrop, you don’t really need much else.

If I were to pick a favourite moment from the wedding, it would have to be during the dance party (which is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day) when one of the servers started busting out her dance moves with the bride! Or maybe it was when one of the bartenders went around pouring tequila straight down some of the guest's throats…including the bride and groom. Honestly, it’s really hard to choose one favourite moment out of the 10 eventful days I experienced on this trip. It is definitely one that I will never forget and will always look back on fondly. Hopefully I’ll be back at the Royalton next year….hint hint, anyone?
