New Year's Eve Settlement Building Wedding, Vancouver BC - Sanja + Ian

What better way to ring in the new year than as newlyweds, with all your loved ones around to celebrate and party it up with you? Sanja and Ian seemed to agree with this idea, so they held their intimate New Year’s Eve wedding at the beautiful Settlement Building in Downtown Vancouver. The Settlement Building is the perfect space to make it your own. It has a special industrial charm with its white walls, wood beamed ceiling and warehouse feel. Along with Bespoke Decor and Smitten Events, they transformed the space into a ‘Night in Paris’ equipped with cafe tables, loads of candles, lanterns and lounge areas. The jaw-dropping ceremony set up doubled as the perfect backdrop for portraits with the unique lanterns and lights. After S+I exited their ceremony, they headed to the trailer where they got ready (how cool is that?) to sign the official papers and have a moment alone; with some champagne too of course. The rest of the evening was casual, so S+I spent time talking and dancing with their guests, while sipping on cocktails from the shipping container bar (do I need to say more about how cool this space is?)

Of course, for the New Year’s countdown, it had to be extra special for this occasion, so a balloon drop was in order for when the clock hits midnight. Everyone was gathered around the dance floor with champagne flutes in hand, excitedly counting down the seconds until the start of 2019. Sure enough, the moment was everything they had hoped for - balloons showering them as they brought in the new year with a kiss as husband and wife. New Year, new Levines.
