Fraser River Lodge Wedding, Agassiz BC - Intan + Ryan

Just as I said in the last blog post, I can’t seem to get enough of Fraser River Lodge! I got to visit this beautiful venue one month after another for Intan and Ryan’s cultural infusion wedding, where their Indonesian and Icelandic culture was incorporated in multiple unique ways. I am all about making your culture a part of your day if that’s important to you! Intan wore a traditional Indonesian gown with a piece that was worn by her mother at her own wedding! That’s got to be one of the coolest ‘something borrowed’ I’ve encountered. One of their reception details included an ‘icebreaker’ card with conversation starts in Indonesian, English and Icelandic for their guests to use! I+R also opted to have a private blessing ceremony with their families just before their actual ceremony and the amount of emotion in that room was through the roof. Tip: Make opportunities like these happen to allow for extra moments with your loved ones, plus, your photographer will thank you for it and so will you for the extra photo ops!
