Intimate Wedding on Pender Island, BC - Jocelyn + Gian-Paolo

Jocelyn and Gian-Paolo were one of the many couples who had to pivot their wedding plans in 2020. They went forward with their original wedding date with a very intimate ceremony (family only) on Pender Island.

Pender Island is a special place to GP as he spent many summers there with his family growing up, so it seemed like the perfect place to get married! Jocelyn got ready in a cute little house near the water with her parents and sister. She wore a beautiful white jumpsuit and accessories made by local artists.

The ceremony was held under a big tree by the water. They exchanged their vows and also read out letters dedicated to each member of their families. A lunch reception was served back at the house with delicious Filipino food made by GP’s mother and a cake made by Jocelyn’s sister!

Portraits were taken in the forest and around the rocky cliffside on the water. It was a perfect overcast day for this kind of Pacific Northwest setting. A special detail that Jocelyn and GP wanted was a photo of them on their wedding day holding framed photos of their parents on THEIR wedding day - it was such a sweet idea!
